Symmetry9898
I have a question, if i didnt buy the adapters for the bose system in my trailblazer, other than onstar not working and the shitty sounding bose system not working, would there be anything else effected? I dont really see the need to spend 130 dollars on a module to run an amp that im not going to use anyway. may03LT
Without the adapter, you'll lose the door chimes and retained accessory power. You'll also have to tap the switched power lead from the ignition switch harness to get the head unit to turn on/off with the key.
cubs_fan0718
I recently just puchased what ur talking about and yes the door chimes and other stuff wont work, that harness kit comes with a bunch of different wires, i havent fully looked them all over but u might not need to hook them all up but it wouldnt hurt to do it anyways whats an extra hour of ur time to get it done right. I know i will be hooking every wire it says i need to have up in my car . When you install this, is there any way that you can hook this up where no music comes out through the speaker that the chime uses? Im replacing all speakers and amping them so i dont need the output from the other locations.
