Toady Posted March 5, 2010 Report Share Posted March 5, 2010 Well a month ago my alt went out in my grand am, So i decided to go with a high output alt from DB. When i first installed it it didn't work right so i thought that it wouldn't work and i should go to a different company. SO I gave DB A Call and told them my problem. Today i got a package in the mail with my alternator and the problem was fixed, can't remember exactly what the problem was but i got it tested and it puts out rated power. I tested it in my car and with car off is chills at 12.78, at idle 14.6, and at 1200 rpm 14.9. Full tilt at idle drops to 12.7, and Full tilt at 1200 rpm stays 14.5 to 14.6. New alt a little larger than stock New Alt and Big 3 Done In 1/0 Stock Battery is installed now and im curious on what will be a good under the hood batt for this car, what would fit?, I plan on also putting a XS Power D3100 or D3400 in the trunk.
