2k1prayl00d Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 About 2 weeks ago I purchased a brand new diamond d600.1 amp and hooked it up to my single diamond d6 12". Well yesterday it just randomly shut off lol. Could it be I blew a fuse? The led light on the amp is not on so that sounds most logic. Is their any way I could check and see if it's the fuse or any other problem? I am pretty new with amps so thanks for any help! Sounded perfect/no problems before this.
loganlovesbass Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 check or change all of the amp fuses and the power wire fuse, check the ground if its properly grounded to the frame, or you blew the amp by wiring the sub too low. i think it might be the ground. do you have it attacked to like a bolt for a seat? if you do, find a better place on the frame of the car to ground it with. is it bass yet?
2k1prayl00d Posted March 12, 2010 Author Report Posted March 12, 2010 Well I just changed the fuse for the amp only just now, same thing. Im thinking it could be the battery fuse now, or im hoping >.<! I dont think it would of been the ground wire, I used the same wire for my other amp which I had for about a year o.O. I think it might be something internal? idk if it would matter but I was getting like 300rms with my old amp, and about 500 now. So if anything id be putting too much power in it lol. Good thing its still under warranty tho. *update* battery to amp fuse is some how defective lol, thanks for the suggestions
