smullen
sweeeet! can't wait to see some picts of some of your builds you did in the past and some of the home theater stuff you do now Yea, I'd like to see those too... I'm 36 now , but I've been into Car Audio since before I got the very 1st issues of Car Audio, Auto Sound and Security and Car Stereo Review (which changed names a few times)... Way back then, we used to go to this big 3 Day Hotrod show in Duquion Illinois called the "DuQuion Street Machine Nationals".... It was a few hours away, we drove up there each year and camped all weekend... Not much into Hot rods myself, I went to see the chicks and the Car Stereos.... There were some pretty over the top systems back then too... I remember people back then thought they were elite if they had a CD Changer, N.E.S. and little 6" TV that would run offa DC... A powerfull sub was 500-1500 watts back then... I might have a few old Pics, but I've got no way to scan them in... AudioGuru
Here is the next batch of photos... Test fit of the woofers As you can see the woofer sticks out a little and will have to be clearanced. Need to square the woofers so the mounting holes are positioned square and marked with a punch. There won't be room to mark or drill the holes once the port is built. Starting port construction. bcpballer64
Why did you cut it in half? AudioGuru
Missed a few of the test fit photos before I cut the baffle. The port took forever to build. Each piece had to be glued, clamped, cut with the router then repeated. How many sheets of MDF are you going to end up using? AudioGuru
While the glue dryed I took the opportunity to cut the back panel of the enclosure out of 1 1/8". I calculated the volume, tuning frequency and baffle position to determine where to place the back panel. Used TermPro software to model everything.
