new here need help

[Hemi Ram]

I have a 06 dodge ram 1500 with a Diamond Audio D6 450.2 (450 watts RMSx1 @ 4 ohms) pushing 2 10" JLw1 8ohms and a Diamond Audio D300.4 powering 2 infinity kappa 6x9s and 2 alpine 5 1/4 3ways with a rockford fosgate 1 fraud cap and a cheap Sony deck ( CDX-GT640UI) getting a better deck soon!!!! my problem is that my subs cant keep up they are clipping and bottoming out at 1/4 to 3/8 gain with the sub settings on the deck all the way down they are mounted in two boxes under the rear seats and have .625 cubic feet of air witch crutchfield says is within range. I have packed the boxes with polyfill I tried them half full and empty and found a 1/4 way full works the best. what I don't get is how are my subs clipping and bottoming out with everything turned this far down??? JL rates these subs at 300 watts RMS my amp only pushes 450 thats only 225 watts per sub at max amp load and im no where near that because my gain is set at one 1/4 of the way up its sad to say but my Infinity Kappas produce more bass than my subs even with there amp turned to about 3/8s gain with 0% bass boost. I have tried 10" alpine type Es and Rs and Diamonds 10" D1 subs and im not getting the performance I expect I have spent almost $1300 on just subs and cant come close to matching my Kappa 6x9s and I hate turning there amp dame near off to try to make my system sound good. Any advise to help make my subs perform better would be great by the way awesome site wish I knew about it when I was making this system and not going by what Crutchfield said so much
