MACnonsence6 Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 ive been needing to upgrade my destroyed jbl speakers i have in the front of my neon they cant seem to keep up with my jvc reciever so my plan is to get 2 of these for the doors and fiberglass them so they come out a bit http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=290-305 and 2 of these for my cubby http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=299-913 i plan to use the 8 for the lows the 6.5 for mids and still have yet to decide on the highs. i plan to wire these in parallel so i can get a 4ohm load making my reciever happy the only thing i cant figure out is what kind of cross over to get and if wired in parallel would the cross over do anything to the mid if its after it? also should i get a 8ohm cross over or a 4ohm? I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
