tacomabanga1986 Posted April 29, 2010 Report Share Posted April 29, 2010 i got my crossovers mounded to my kick panels and ran the wires threw my door grommet i had to remake the speaker plate for a 6&1/2 to fit right in my 99 taco, i redid mine in 1/2'' birch plywood and worked like a charm i useto have kicker ks 6&1/2 comps up front and kicker ks 6&1/2 coax in back and switched em out wit my polk db 6500 comps up front and 650 coax in back, sounds a shit ton better imo is ur truck extended cab? i built some ported boxs for my mtx 5500 1544's to go in my truck so i can take that big sealed box out n see how they sound and on the db selection i dunno really, it just cuts or boosts ur tweet really, +2db makes it louder, -2db makes it a lil quiter and not as snappy should have a 0db selection to choose too i would think, i would try it in the middle first, n if they aint loud enough set it to +2 and see i need to go reset all my stuff sometime to make it blend alot better now that my new speakers have better midbass and sound better on country n rock were u at in nc? here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
