Dual Alternators

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I just thought that I would at least introduce myself before firing away with questions. I've read these forums and watched Steve's videos for a while, but I am a new member and poster here. In fact, this is my first post. I am pretty old school as far as audio is concerned. I have been installing my own and many friend's systems since way back in the 1980's (yeah, I'm old). I have to say MAD PROPS to Steve for doing his thing always the right way and never half-assing anything. You gotta respect that. My question is this:

I just installed dual Iraggi 220amp alternators in my 2002 Escalade (first time doing dual alternators). I am wondering how to correctly wire the second harness plug? Obviously, the stock plug just plugs into one of the alternators, but what about the plug on the second alternator? I am assuming that it needs to be spliced into the stock wiring???? The secondary alt. plug has 4 wires coming out of it and I believe my stock one only has 2 wires (the middle two of four).

Thanks...
