Joshslvl4xl Posted May 18, 2010 Report Share Posted May 18, 2010 i am planning on getting 2 dc lvl 4 xl 15's and 2 aq2200's. now i know you need a 1 ohm amp for a d2 sub right? so if i have 2 d2 subs and 2 1 ohm amps i would just wire each sub in parallel then straight to the amp right? each amp does 2200 at 1 ohm by itself but the amps are rated at 4400 at 2 ohms strapped together. now would it be better to strap them together and run them on the pair of subs or just run a single amp to each sub?
