Back up lights wired to my amp???

So I changed my white back up lights to blue led's and wired them to my amp so when the amp is on the led's r on... Is this ok in michigan

I know in PA the only color you can use is white

I know it's not illegal to not have back up lights

if they are on all the time they are illegal. i had a lower s10 and had blue little bulbs in my tail lights and i got a ticket for them. i wouldnt have them on while driving it might happen to you

Should I put them on their own switch so I can turn them on and off as I please.

i would just to be safe. then if you see a cop you can click them off real quick and be good to go. your in tc theres quite a few cops over there. i see them a lot when im over in tc
