89 Chevy Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I am upgrading my system because it got stolen, and I thought I would try a FI BTL Sub. I am going to run 1 12" BTL. Now my Question is what amp to run with it? I was thinking Either a Diablo Audio Technologies Hellfire 2500rms amp, or a Hifonics BXI2010. What do you guys suggest? I have personally heard a Diablo Amp on two W7's, and it powered them just fine. Thanks for the help! Elliot

A lot of people have had problems with the DAT 2500s burning up, but I do not have personal experience with them. I'd recommend a rf 2500, DD M4 or M3a. Pretty much any amp that can put out a ton of clean power should do fine. Just do some research there is a bunch. Kenwood DDX 514 DD M3a DD 9512G RF 600.4 RF power series 6x8s lots of zero ga. Just do some research there is a bunch. noob rage is noobish. they are overrated by like 300 watts for the bigger models its no big deal. they are built strong as fuck, if they werent, then how come my bx1605d is still running strong today? to the OP, if you have the electrical, go for the 2610d or something of the likes.

spldreams Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 When I order my new BTL, Do I have it built for Dual 1ohm, or Dual 2? i would get the dual 2 ohm so it can be wired to a 1 ohm load. im pretty sure all the amps suggested are stable down to 1 ohm so you should be good with what ever amp you decide on getting.
