t-money Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 im thinking about ordering a line driver. my question is will it really help me get louder? my 4 channel is a 6 volt input and my mono channel is an 8 volt input. will i gain anything good by sending 9 volts to them both? Bigballa39213 Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 Yes you can blow the inputs. Only add whats needed. You will cause clipping. Then blown subs and amps. 1 volt over is too much. Plus you must turn your gains down too. But if it say 8 volts turn it to 8 volts. A line driver boosts your signal. Be sure to turn your amp gain down to match this.
