thats ur problem u need to upgrade ur wire to atleast 4 gauge cuz ur starving the amp of the power it needs to run nice

Small wire will not make an amp run hot.

Too low ohm load, too much gain and a clipped input - that'll make your amp toasty warm.

actually low voltage is the most likely culprit. check what kind of voltage it is getting, and measure your vdrops at the terminals and at your ground points. my guess is you got a bad connection somewhere.
