Which amp(s) should I use on my XL 18? Two old Kicker ZR 600's @ 2ohms each or MA Audio hk4000d @ 4ohms doing around 1800 watts.

I'm asking because I know the kicker amps are under rated, but idk by how much. They have 3 30 amp fuses and the MA has no outside fusing.

that MA audio should be externally fused, with an in-line ANL fuse.

I personally like MA audio over Kicker, I was looking into their subs for my setup before I decided on my SSD's, but MA amps get down and dirty with it for sure!

It will also give you room to grow, if you ever decide to go with a second sub down the road.
