BiGo916 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 which is a better amp for my Fi BTL the SOUNDSTREAM RUB1.2500D or US AMPS MD3D? what type of electrical system should use keep these amps running at a good voltage?
Hellbound Train Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Big 3 upgrade is always recommended along with a proper battery for your amount of current draw. For the MD3D you are looking at 240 amps of current draw. That MD3D is a great amplifier.

s_carter Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 never heard the us amps, but I can vouch for the ruby, its a beast, and they are selling for about 450 with man. warranty. hell of a deal. the harder I push it the better it gets, still haven't found its limits, only mine so far. (i am too afraid to turn it up much more since I dont want to damage anything) it is ridiculous loud, and i am only running 2 ohm. sound quality is excellent, and it doesn't thermal at all. not too sure of its performance in 1 ohm, since my setup is only capable of .5, 2, or 8 ohm, until I pick up another pair of subs... I have noticed that since it is a regulated power supply, it will continue to put out full power regardless of voltage changes, but it starts to distort if you let you voltage dip below 12.5 or so. keep your voltages up, and this thing will absolutely slam a BTL, or even two, and sound great doing it... Thanks that was really help full. Where are they selling for 450 and what type of battery should I use. I drive 2001 rodeo with 90 amp Alternator. Iraggi has a 180 amp Alternator should I get that if I purchase the Ruby and if so what size battery.. what is better kinetik or Xs Power
