Does maxxsonics make a dual input bass knob? Guest Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 theres a difference between a "bass" knob (which boosts a frequency, usually 45hz, and used incorrectly can cause undesired side effects) and an inline RCA knob. the RCA knob is just a variable resistor which means itll change the voltage from what the preouts give. meaning if you have 4v coming from the headunit, and the knob is all the way up, your amp will see 4v. if the knob is half way (example), then the voltage can be 2v. thus making it quieter
