is there a way to find out the amount of watts your amp puts out?

Yes there is, you will need a true RMS voltmeter and a true RMS clamp meter both with a peak hold on them. Put the volt meter on your amp outputs with your sub/s and set it to AC volts with max hold, put the clamp meter on around one of the wires to the sub and put that on AC amps with peak hold. Burp your setup with a test tone then times the voltage by the amps and you get the output power of your amp.
