Grommets for oddball sized holes

Recommended Posts

When I ran my 1/0 through my car I didn't have a drill bit big enough. I used a hole saw my friend had, which IIRC was 1.5" (maybe 1" but I doubt I'm that lucky.) At the time I had just stuck a ton of tape over the metal to protect the wire, thinking I would find a grommet and order it quickly. WRONG!

So I was wondering what you guys did for grommets with holes that aren't your standard '- gauge' holes. I have heard some people say to use liquid gasket but I would feel much safer with a real grommet.

Too many projects, too little time...
