Maroon97SL
Why not help him fix his wiring instead of recommending a different amp? Wire up your subs like that for a 4 ohm load total (2 ohms per channel). You'll be seeing a lot less power, but you will stop blowing fuses. When i had them wired like that, my lights dimmed HELLA bad it was awful, the amp barely pushed the subs wired like that. Budget Build, I spent about 330$ for the setup. but its a crx, if you cant fart and do a 150 in a crx there is something wrong...
fr34kout
Yea the way I posted will have you at 4 ohm nominal aka 2 ohms per channel. The way you have it wired right now is 1 ohm nominal aka .5 ohms per channel. You push less power at 4 ohms but the amp can actually handle it. pheint_1
for 162.95 you can get yourself this http://www.vminnovations.com/product_4093/Audiopipe_AP15001D_1500W_Mono_D_Amplifier.html its 1 ohm stable. and people say it does rated. For something that serious i would need to invest in a battery and cap for it. pheint_1
can always keep the gains down, i dont think you need a cap, but i think ive seen users pull off this kind of wattage with a stock alternator, big 3 and a good agm battery in the rear. but its up to you not trying to force anything on you. Even the way the subs are wired right now the lights dim, i blew one 30 and two 25 amp fuses today... I need to figure this out on a some what budget. Im debating on just throwing my 12's back in there and selling these 10's. pheint_1
ummm i dont know what you mean, the amp i suggested has 4 speaker inputs 2 -'s and 2 +'s, wire your subs in parallel that will give you a 2 ohm load from each sub, connect + and +'s to amp and - and -'s to amp inputs, then the amp will take those 2 ohm loads and internally they will be sort of like bridged(not the correct term but you kinda see what i mean) and you will have a 1 ohm load. Wasn't the one you suggested a mono block? Is boss any good with their amps or am i wasting my money? Can i run dual 8ohm 12's off of that amp, its stable 600w @ 4ohms.
