GioRF
I just wanted to know if theres a way to know if my bass amp is clipping other than the osciloscope. I tried my best using the traditional level setup that comes in tha owners manual but i dont feel its 100% acurate and i cant afford buying an o/scope. Thanks for any help. Incin
this is how i set mine but not sure how accurate it is. leave ur gains how they are an turn ur deck up slowly an listen for the clip mine is about 52/62. once u find it turn it down a bit to where u feel comfortable with the level then on ur amp slowly play with ur settings until the bass has a smooth transaction from beat to beat. if u have a bass boost nob turn that all the way down. an thats how i set mine an i think it sounds pretty good. Quote well, it'll make you shit bricks.

vr6bass
Thanks for tha info i will try to do my best. yeah what he said, use the gain to match the input levels so the bass doesn't drown out the highs/vice versa. what I do is just adjust everything to as loud as I can play it to right before it starts to sound bad, then just back it off a hair so that whenever I turn it all the way up, it doesn't distort (unless its a rediculous song or something). calvin_115
u cant hear cliping so that out u need a o scope 2 know when ur cliping You can hear it clipping when it's being clipped very hard. But a bit clipping won't be audible as you said.
