Painting wheels help

Okay you guys one of the many projects that i want to tackle this weekend is painting my wheels. They are stock but will look pretty good with some fresh paint. So my question is can i use just regular primer paint and clear or should i get some "wheel paint" from autozone. I have painted wheels before using both, but what is the difference?

See one wheel is a completly a different color then the rest. Also soon i am hoping to get rid of the "white walls" lol But they work and the tread is good.

My friend painted his wheels using the RustOleum wheel primer then paint and it turned out amazing. By the way, I don't know how it is by you, but we can get it at Menard's for cheaper than we can at the parts stores (We're talking a couple bucks a can, and we went through probably 3 cans of each on the set of 4)

Yea i picked up $30 worth of paint yesterday. Rustoleum its about 5 after tax here. I got 2 cans of wheel paint, 2 cans of plasic paint 1 can of automotive pirmer and 1 can of crystal clear clear coat. The wheel just got 3 coats of primer and roughly 5 coats of paint! Looks good i have a couple of runs here and there sense my jack is broke.
