999bass Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 Sup guys Me and my buddy are walling a 1995 jetta 1.8v with 2 18" DC level 6's and 10k, we have already sourced 2 180a oem VW alts and need somebody to make a bracket to mount them, I know 95% of vw's share the same alt mounting so would be a bonus if anybody has already had custom brakets made that could i could use as a template? or anybody know anybody who can build me a dual alt mount without seeing the car? there is nothing around my area that can do it and the car is not road worthy at the moment!
Guest DC Power Kyle Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 We have a 290 amp VW alt that does 190 at idle. However since you're engine is a little older it will drop the RPMs and you'll most likely realistically see around 150~ at idle. PM me if you're interested
