fast4me80 Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Ok here's the deal I have two Rockford Fosgate Hx2 18's that I was going to put in my Mitsubishi Evo XI... Yea that's right! The big problem is that my T2000.1 just went on me and don't have the funds to get another amp, so what I was going to do is use my mids/ highs amp (t600-4) bridged to run the subs. I am not too sure how this will work. Luckily I have a old school punch 40 and a 65.2 in the garage to power the mids/ highs since I would be using the T600-4 that used to power them. I am curious to see how this will measure out... If I can't get good db's, I guess I will only be running in the db drag/ bass race this Saturday. Or I have two Rockford Hx2 8's as well which I could use, and would save me alot of wood (sub box). Or I have a T212d4 which I could use since last year nobody ran a single 12, and since I had the stupid JL Audio W713.5 I was taking on dual twelves all day long and was still close but not enough (3rd) and also ended up smoking that sub lol. So, I guess my question is... What do you think I should do?

fast4me80 Posted July 19, 2010 Author Report Posted July 19, 2010 Neither of those work because funds are low right now, and you must understand that I definately know I eventually need to get a new amp, well just get my T2000.1 repaired. I have been doing car audio for many years (18) and know that this would'nt be the best to run, but know it would work and have some other options as far as what subs to run, and what catagories in the competition to run as well. It's either: 2 x 18's (hx2's), 2 x 8's (hx2's), or 1 T2 12. In any case the only amp that I have to run any of the subs is the T600-4, I have other amps but this is my most powerful as of now. I knew I should'nt have sold my back up amps, but never expected the T2000.1 to just go out on me like it did. So really just was wondering on what people think I should do, besides buying another sub amp because the comp is Saturday and funds are low so I have to make due with what I have. Like I said if I can't get the db's I need, I can always just run the bass race/ db drag which I placed second last year only because I went over the limit on accident because of the delay on the meter (errrrrr). This is also going into a Mitsubishi Evolution IX and will be taking the back seat out and putting the subs there. Let me know what you all think. Thanks

aimone Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 600w should bang that t212 pretty good....definately pound the 8's in a good box.....i dont think u will be happy with the hx2 18's on only 600 but hey cone area might make it bang...... i've got a power hx2 15 on a saz1500 it slams im just tryin to find the best box setup

Errrrr, just trying to figure out the route to take on this. I don't want to waste wood, meaning I can't make a box for both 18's, then the 8's, and the 12 ( although I have one made already for it but tuned too low for the comp). On the 18's one model is the 600 rms model and the other is the 1000 rms model. Hell maybe I should just run the 600 watt rms 18... hmmmmm... I tested the T2 12 just on one of my old punch 65.2's and it actually sounded pretty good, good sound quality. So, I am pretty sure it would slam with the T600-4 set up right. what kind of ride do you have forum n()()b??? What is your goal with your box? spl/sq? space availible?
fast4me80 Posted July 19, 2010 Author Report Posted July 19, 2010 hell I wish I had the birth sheet to the t600-4 because we all know Rockford puts out more than its rated at and would be nice to know what the actual wattage on this amp is. I am guessing I could be safe to assume it probably pushes at least 700 watts bridged at 2 ohm instead of 600, heck it could even be more but dont have the certificate to know... ERRRRRRR! That could really help me out as well to know what the amp is actually putting out.
