Wiring multiple batteries

I have an hc800 under the hood and an hc1200 in the trunk. Im wondering if i should just do a run from the 800 to the 1200 then a very short run from the 1200 to my amp? Yes both run will be fused of course. But if there is a more efficient way of doing this please inform me.

best way to do it, + front batt to + trunk batt. - trunk batt to ground. ground amp as well
