chapo123
okay so long story, im getting tired of my 12 btl and its power hungry ass lol. im going to leave it chilling in my room until i get my hatchback (due to doing all elc upgrades in that car not this one) and want to go with something smaller. im looking at these type arrrghs lol for 143 a piece free shipping that aint bad.. plus i liked how they sounded in my benz with no drop down seats, in a pre fab (1 cube per sub.. ported) off of 750rms total.. they got pretty loud for what it was. now i have a 02 sebring with drop down seats and can imagine they would get way louder. in a nice 4 cube ported box tuned to 32hz off of a sundown 1200. but just before i buy the subs.. is there anything better for the price that would beat these subs? i really want sa12s but they a tad bit pricy for me.. basically for 280 bucks what can i get that would be louder..? if there are any options.. i know these subs are good (from past experiance) and wont kill me elc as bad as the btl.. but jw if theres anything better i can get for like 300 shipped that are around 500-750rms? Quote Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal? heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history. memphisbasshead
i'm guessing you want 2 12's? if so i would get 2 of these http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-404 or 2 of these http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-466 or 2 of these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12859_Cerwin-Vega+V-Max122.html and if you meant a single 12 then i'd get a dc audio level 4 12 with a level 5 coil. all of those subs would be just as good as an alpine type r if not better Quote My Car Audio Setup: Sub: 1 RE Audio HC 15 Dual 2 ohm(soon to get a psi recone) Daily Sub Box: 1.62 cubes net with 2 dayton audio 8 inch passive radiators tuned to 34.35 hz, 141.9 @ 48 hz sealed on the dash with termlab Competition Sub Box: 3.10 cubic ft. net tuned to 50.58 hz with 2 6 inch aeroports, 147.9 @ 62 hz sealed on the dash with termlab Amp: Powerbass ASA 1000.1 Dx(eventually gonna get a planet audio bb2400.1) Big 3: Phoenix Gold 1/0 Gauge Amp Wire: Knukoncepts 1/0 gauge Alternator: Stock 90 amp Battery Under the hood: Autocraft Gold Top Battery Battery In Back: None for now but I am looking for one so pm me if you have one for sale HU: Pioneer DEH-2900MP Front/Rear Amp: Hifonics Txi-4408 4 channel amp Front Speakers: Orion Cobalt 6.5 coaxial Rear Deck Speakers: Orion Cobalt 6x9 coaxial Home Audio Setup: Speakers:2 Cerwin Vega D-3's (10" Woofer,5 1/4" mid-range,1" Bullet Dome Tweeter) 2 Cerwin Vega D-5's (12" Directed Audio Xtreme 124SX Subwoofer,5 1/4 mid-range,1" Bullet Dome Tweeter)Kenwood center channel and rears. DynamikT
I would personally go for the type r's because of the extra cone area, but if you want a single sub then go with what memphis said, a DC level 4 12. Guest
why do you want to waste more money? just stick with the btl.
memphisbasshead
why do you want to waste more money? just stick with the btl. well it's up to what the guy wants. if he wants to trade a btl for a pyle 12 then thats his decision. but yes i think he should keep the btl and for 300 invest in a high output alternator. chapo123
i will still keep the btl. just not use it. because my elc isnt up to par with 3krms which is what the btl would want. and i can go louder without killing my car AND still be pushing subs.. so im looking to get 2 cheap 12s and a sundown 1200 Quote Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal? heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history. chapo123
im just going to save the btl until i get a hatchback because im doing all electrical upgrades in that car (when i get it) domt really want to dump to much electrical money into this car Quote Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal? heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history.
