So, now that I have a job I can actually pay for a new scope. The only bad thing is I have NO idea what makes a good scope and what are some good brands and what not, I don't want to spend over $150 MAYBE $200. Keep in mind this is just to shoot squirrels. I don't know much of anything about my .22 I got it when I was like 10 from my uncle for $50 so I don't think its anything super amazing. But if anyone can help me out with my scope hunt that would be great!! But if anyone can help me out with my scope hunt that would be great!! i use simmons scopes on my .22 squirrel guns (2 of 'em). midwayusa has some awesome deals on simmons scopes. i put one of my .22 scopes on my shotgun to see how it took high recoil. i sighted it with 2 3/4 rifled slugs, then shot 2 boxes of 3.5" buckshot, and a box of 3.5" turkey load. went back to rifled slugs and took the orange bullseye out of a target on the first shot at 100 yards. they hold up perfectly to way more recoil than your .22 could ever dream of throwing at it. held zero perfectly. i use this one - http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=267844 Edited September 6, 2010 by Hugh G.
