Common Problem With Kenwood, Fixed

Recommended Posts

I dont know if any of you have kenwood as your home speaker setup, but i have the vr-507 and i started having a problem. I could no longer turn the reciever on with the remote. Well i looked it up and it turns out somehow the soldering joints for the pins that connect the IR reciever to the board are not good at all. You have to re-solder the 3 pins. I did it and it works great. It is nice to have fixed to, because for the longest time i didnt know what the problem was,and everytime i wanted to turn my speakers on, my reciever wouldnt communicate with the remote. ANyways, by the small chance that anyone has this problem, do this.

Anyways here is a site that tells you exactly what to do, and it really works.

That is not my work, but i did the exact same thing.
