DSTRBD Posted September 12, 2010 Report Share Posted September 12, 2010 Hey guys, I currently own a 04 Explorer. I run 2x HU (1x JVC KDAV7100 & 1x JVC KDAVX44). I use the 7100 and the main player and the avx44 is mainly the DVD player for the rear. I like these, they serve me well. My sound came courtesy from Clarion. In the front doors I had Clarions SRP1620(6.5") components and SRP1320(5.25") components. They ran off a Clarion APX4361(160W x4 @2Ohms). In the rear doors I had Clarions SRP1320(5.25") components and in the tailgate I had a pair of SRP6920s(6x9") components. These ran off another APX4361 in the same configuration as the other amp. For subs, I had one DPX11551 amp(1550W x1 @2Ohm) running 2x Clarion PXW1552 15" subs. Now... I have recently been presented with the opportunity to upgrade to Boston Acoustic gear. The front doors will have Boston's PRO60SEs powered by a Boston GT4100. The rear doors and the tailgate will each have a pair of Boston's SR65s powered by a Boston GT475 amp. For subs, I'm looking at two G310-44s(in independent sealed boxes, one on each side, at the back of the truck) powered by a Boston GT2300 amp. Note: Because of space restriction, I have to stick with the 10"s but I could add a Boston GTR10 to each side. So, what do you guys think? NO TV AND NO BEER MAKE HOMER GO SOMETHING SOMETHING...
