I found a hifonics brutus that is 2600 @ 1 ohm which is similar to that kicker

any benefit to running at 1 ohm as opposed to 2 ohms??

if your talking about that 2606 brutus amp then no...

and generally 2 ohms will draw less amperage which in turn is less strain on ur electrical..

would 2600 watts at 1 ohm be powerful enough to push a 12 or 15 inch fi btl?

it says 2000 watts on the fi webpage but i see some people running alot more power than that

yes it would be powerful enough.. the 2000w is meant on how much watts are needed to get it loud..

meade "BOSS of the forum" is running a t40001bd to it.. rated at 4000@1 but really puts out almost 5000@1..
