RF 400@4 no sound

long story short, car was not used for a month and the amp no longer gives sound from any channel. It is a 400@4 fosgate 2000ish series. Amp worked great before. I tried testing the rca signal by connecting an ipod directly to the amp but with no luck. Tried connecting other speaker to outputs but no luck either. I hear static but thats its. I only hear the static when i listen closely or turn up the gain a bit. I dont know much about amp repair but though i could get some help here. Any ideas? Also i can pickup a 75x4 polk audio amp for $60 bnib should i just repair the 400@4 or get the polk? i love RF but is it worth the repair?
