bassINyoFACE Posted August 10, 2007 Report Share Posted August 10, 2007 does the H/U voltage have to do with anything? is this voltage tied in to the way you set your amp gains? is there any pre-volts that work better with certain amps? when setting your amp gains using the square of rms X ohm rating do you have to include this pre-voltage to the formula? help please i'm sure a lot of us need to knnow this in detail. Guest MegaloManiac Posted August 10, 2007 Report Share Posted August 10, 2007 more preout voltage from the HU means less you have to turn the gains up on the amp, which is a good thing. It doent factor into the formula because if you are setting the gains like me, using a DMM, 50hz testtone, then whats there to factor? you HU is playing during the gain settings.
