Z71 Thumper Posted October 9, 2010 Report Share Posted October 9, 2010 I was just wondering if painting the face of the speaker to match other speakers would affect the quality i have 12 12" rockford fosgate p3's and i have older models and newer models but i just wanted to spray them black and i have a stencile for rockford fosgate would it crack?? Sanitarium Posted October 9, 2010 Report Share Posted October 9, 2010 Back in the old days, people would paint their cones to change the moving mass, affecting the FS of the sub. These days, you would just choose a speaker with the FS you're after. Now as far as painting for cosmetics... eh.. you could try some of the interior paints.
