I was just wondering if painting the face of the speaker to match other speakers would affect the quality i have 12 12" rockford fosgate p3's and i have older models and newer models but i just wanted to spray them black and i have a stencile for rockford fosgate would it crack??

Regular paint will crack and flake but if you buy the flex paint that they use on fiberglass bumpers it might hold up but cant promise that

Back in the old days, people would paint their cones to change the moving mass, affecting the FS of the sub.

These days, you would just choose a speaker with the FS you're after.

Now as far as painting for cosmetics... eh.. you could try some of the interior paints. Like the ones you would use to redye plastic and vinyl pieces in your car.
