Jbabycsx
Does the amp have room to breath on all sides and underneath? Socky
usually your amp should be fine if its not hot enough to cook a egg. The hottest amp i felt was derricks stetsom 7k and i could cook burgers on that thing lol. Jbabycsx
Never used an AQ amp so I cant really comment, but having it mounted to the box is a bad idea unless you have no other choice. chuchunesme
I put spacers under my amps so there's like 1/4 to 1/2" air space under it just to help. I had and MTX 81000D that would get really hot running at 1.5 ohms but putting a little air space under seemed to help quite a bit. Mounting it directly to the box, especially with carpet on it can cause it to overheat. Edited October 10, 2010 by chuchunesme
Jbabycsx
explain how it is bad? Turn your subs up on a song that really hits hard. Press your head to the box. Thats what your amp goes thru every time you turn it on. Amps arent made to take vibration like that.
