  1. the d3100 would be plunty. hell my bro can run his 4 aq2200s off a front bat, 3400, 350 alt, rear bat 7500 with them strapped at 2 ohm it only dropped to 12.7s on heavy bass. now at .25 per amp is a different story. its in the 9v
  2. yea ive done a 2 sealed and 4 ported with a diamond 15, had plunty of control and low end in the upwards of 1.5k now im readying to step up to a single 4th order in my jeep im really wanted a good low end extension and musical bandwidth. im guessing im going to go ahead and try this one out and if anything ill add polyfill to help my low end. If its to big, ill throw something to take spaces in sealed side.
  3. Alright im about to build a 4th order for my jeep today. The max dem are 24x42x20, This gives me roughly 5.5 ported tuned to 44hz and 2.25 sealed, doing a slow port up, with about 111 sq in of port. Now one of my questions is would a full sheet and a half be enough to make this box? I did the math in my head and i believe i have just enough wood to make it. If not i have a few small pieces of mdf i can part with. Im hoping for a bandwidth around the mid 20's and the mid 40's anywhere close to that will be fine, as long as it will be able to play 23hz at the minimum only cause i dig few low end songs. The equipment is a single sundown zv3 with ns softparts, will be powered by 2 apsm 1500s at 2 ohm strapped. Goal is more of a decent bandwidth and more musical with the capabilities of digging deep in the low end with efficiency and maintaining a tight punch. Ive built a few 4th orders, this will be my first for my own personal use.
  4. need more port, id say about 70sq in maybe more.
  5. they are pretty damn good woofers, few had defective baskets, but that got solved after first shipment. Have a few buddies running them without an issue.
  6. i knew that, right now im only using the voltmeter side. i kept looking at it, and very skeptical about it. Not to worried about the resistance, voltage really isnt a issue since i roughly have about 300 ah in batts for 1500 watts, Guess i wont be using it then.
  7. http://www.amazon.com/Volt-Meter-Digital-Shunt-200V/dp/B005HBBZEM/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hi_4 I just got one of these in the mail. Im little skeptical bout it, only cause im not to sure on how to hook up the shunt, my brother told me its similar to a fuse. How do i go abouts on hooking this up so i can read the load of my amp? I understand the basic red/black. But then it says somewhere the shunt is hooked up to the negative terminal and then the load. Now do i take it to the positive of the load or the negative. Im just trying to be on the safe side so i dont blow an amp.
  8. Just got a text from my girlfriend," im so glad your awake now, ive been looking up trunk setups for my car." She is definetly a keeper :D ever since i took her to slamology couple years ago, she fell in love with bass :D

  10. damn the nsv3 was bigger than i thought. That team sundown motor makes me droul.
  11. not 12, but a single lvl 3 m2 15 in my gf's car on an apsm 1500 wired to 1 ohm, did a 140.2 at 39hz in a saturn
