major box help needed

i dont think anyones done what i plan on doing. well at least what ive seen on the interweb anyway.

well my cars trunk is an asshole..

summary of my trunk

43 inches wide

around 13 1/2 inches high (usable space)

10 inches till 6 inch drop

then 23 inches after that, (no its not a 23 inch sub, i just didnt get the whole thing haha)

this is with my backseat down. i wanted to try to have the port facing forward.

i might be able to cut the middle piece out and make a smaller bar to support it

or just take it out completely.

those are roughly around 13 x13 probly a bit more.

these are pain in the ass trunk bars, id have to put the subs in front of them a bit

but these bars and the lip is pretty much what i have to build around

let me get this straight... you are looking for ideas on how you are going about to build a box? The shape is quite bad, but is very workable....

on the side note... your kenwood's are BLOWN.. what subs are we working with here?

I would put those 12's facing forward through those two 13" trunk windows. utilize the whole section 10x43x14 2.55 ft^3 and some extension on the drop 8x43x20 (2.89 ft^3). Do Aeroport and after all displacement to 4.5 cub tuned to 35hz

I wouldn't do anything lower than 30hz though. What amp you will be running those boys?

That would be plenty for the subs under the right eletrical support. but back to your box... what's your plan?

well, ill be honest.

i have no idea how to do the math side of the box. haha.

i could use the box calculators but that damn 6 inch lip messes me up.

i want to seal it off from the trunk, but i dont want something to permanent cuz it is an 86 and i dont want to mess it up.

ill already have to do some mods to the back seat for it to be able to go up and down correctly.
