Irregular boxes

I'm going to be redoing the box for my Alpine's soon, as I'm going to be ordering a train horn set from Hornblasters for my car. My plan is to put the subs on the left side of my trunk, and the tank/compressor in the back right part of my trunk (from back facing towards the front). I was planning on building a box that will take advantage of the space to the left as much as possible. Would there be an issue with building a box with one part of it sticking out to fill behind the wheel well? I'll take pictures when I can to describe what I'm talking about. Thanks.
