yukon7002
4-12s need about 8ft^3 bracing and port is about 1.8ft^3 - 2.0 ft^3 do i need to make a box that is 9.8 ft^3 - 10 ft^3 or do i need to make a box that is 6.2 ft^3 - 6 ft^3 because it always says remember to subtract port and bracing but i always thought that u would need to add it because the subs need 8 ft^
thegr8cody
if u need 8 cubic feet, i always do the cubic feet x 12 or 15 depending on how much port you want, then figure out how im gonna design the port,in your case i would go about 1.5 cubic feet over the recomended 8 then see how long your port has to be than times width x height x length divide by 1728 and thats your port displacement, then you can down scale your box if u have to after that to get it where ya need it.thats how i do it anyways, seems to work 1998 gmc sierra h/u:eclipse cd3200 sub:dd9518g d1.5 amp:jl e300/4 sub amp:dd m2a front stage:id ctx65cs dc power 270 alt lots of kicker 1/
