I'd go with 2 of these while they are still on sale https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154cf460eef3129/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0005_Black+FiDay/product_overview.shopscript

Then as for the amplifier get this http://www.vminnovations.com/product_4493/Audiopipe_APSM_1300_2000W_Mono_Mini_Amplifier.html

Then for an amp kit get this http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1549263/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046

That comes out to a total of about $315-320 :drinks: As for the box I would do around 3.5-4 cubic ft net for both subs tuned to 32 hz with 14-16 sq inches of port area per cube for slot ported and 6-10 for aeroports

1 TC Sounds TC-3000 15 D2 (temporary until I get a box built for the both of them)

Powerbass ASA 1500.1 Dx

Pioneer Mvh-P8200

Soundstream MPQ-7XO 7 band Eq

Crescendo CCX6.5's

Rockford Fosgate Punch 200a4

C&D UPS490-MR in the back

2008 Kia Rio Lx

Ok so I am finally going to put subs in my 2003 Mustang and I'm not quite sure which ones to get yet. I am going between 2 JL Audio W0V2 12 inch subs with a Rockford Fosgate Punch 300-1 amp, a pair of Kicker 07C124 with the same Rockford Fosgate amp or a pair of Kicker 07CVR122 sub with either a Rockford Fosgate PRIME R500-1, a Rockford Fosgate PRIME R1000-1D or a Kicker 10ZX750.1

I want my car to have some bump but not enough to much. I want to be able to make my car shake and possibly the car next to me shake but I still want good sound quality. Most people have recommended the CVR which is cheaper than the W0V2 because the CVR is the 07 model but I am thinking this might be too much. When I am just listening to music by myself and not trying to show off or anything I don't want to be shaking the cars next to me. I know the W0V2 is a really good sounding sub but I have heard it is not very loud and I do want something I can show off a little. Well hopefully I haven't confused anyone too much any help would be great because I need to make a decision soon. I don't want to spend a fortune on this stuff so any alternatives are welcome.

Ok heres my take, JL's low end stuff (W0 and WX stuff) is eh at best, and kicker is not the SQ sub brand. Also speaking from experience you'll be better off getting one good sub than two bleh subs. Heres what i recommend you do, go to a few competitions and check out what the guys are using, most competitors wont mind giving demos of their systems either. Listen closely to the bass check out their amps and their subs, then check out what those brands middle grade stuff would cost. Also be careful when talking to the guys because there are alot of nut huggers and salesmen competing. But my main point is just research see if you can find a build on here that seems to fit your goals and follow their example, see what brands are popular (fi/ascendant, DC audio, Digital Designs, Audioque, and Sundown are the main subs used) and then look for the one that fits in your price range.
