Eddie_T Posted November 30, 2010 Report Share Posted November 30, 2010 hey guys i love the site, really helpful. i have a question though. i have 1 soundstram xxx-18 and i have two kicker cvx 15. im wonderingif i can build an enclosure for eigther the kickers or the xxx. its going on a dodge nitro and i have about DxHxW 18"x30"x41" give or take an inch or two in any direction. my thing is that kicker says that i need 5cuft+port displacement per sub of enclosure space and soundstream says i need 6cu.ft for the xxx. is there a way to design a box to fit the xxx within the alloted space? those volumes are for 4th order vented boxes. is there a way to come up with a bandpass enclosre that might work better in terms of size over efficiency and vice versa? anything would help. thaks guys.
