Guest MegaloManiac
oh ok, then you will be using ring terminals then i guess. unless you plan to upgrade battery too?...
no0b4lif3
well the terminals arent just going to slide on like butter, cause then they would be kinda pointless... they have a screw to loosen it but you still gotta wiggle the hell out of it to get on nice then screw it. oh ok, then you will be using ring terminals then i guess.unless you plan to upgrade battery too?... maybe in the future, but not right now... is it ok to use a different bolt, that would be longer than the ones that are in there so that it actually goes into the battery? no0b4lif3
as long as it conducts you're fine ok, cuz thats what i did, when i needed a little extra space for running dual runs of wire to the amps... i didnt want to fuck with cutting it shorter with the die grinder, so i just piled on the washers... is there a way to see what amp draw each amp uses? and if i was gonna get a voltage guage/meter, how would i hook that up? Guest MegaloManiac
the amp draw thing, only thing i have seen that can do that is a clamp meter. the voltage meter, stinger has one to offer, its just like wiring an amp. 12v, ground, & turn-on lead

no0b4lif3
ignition, remote, accessory, whatever yes ok, so i could just run a wire from the remote on my hu... that would make things a little easier for me, and about how much they run? CynicLos
ok, so i could just run a wire from the remote on my hu... that would make things a little easier for me, and about how much they run? i wouldnt really recomend runnin it off the hu cus it will most likely also carry the remote for the amp(s). i would go with connecting it to the ignition using a small fuse to be on the safer side. its better to spend on one extra small fuse and not have a fire and for the volt display, here ya go http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Co...sid/0/SFV/30046 there is also a red version which is a few bucks less http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Co...sid/0/SFV/30046 hope that helps Edited August 23, 2007 by CynicLos Quote '02 Jetta (1) Fi Btl 18 Inch Sub Big box FTW!
