why is this happening to my sub??

Never seen connectors like that before, thats weird. Did you grind down where your grounds are connected so that they are touching bare metal?

Look in the pictures, he's using speaker wire for ground and just looks like he grounded to the first bolt he could find. Without grinding the paint off.

they sell them at radio shack. and no its not bare metal. and is this a bad setup?? if it is how should it b set up so i can fix it.

I would start out by getting proper wire for that amp. At least some 8 gauge, then spend a few here and learn before upgrading.

And ALWAYS ground to the best location, with a truck or SUV that has a frame you ground the amp to the frame, with a unibody car ground to the strut tower or to the front battery.

Thats what I thought as well. First thing you need to do is invest in a nice ground and power wire setup. Find a better spot to ground to that is bare metal.

Same wire size for both power and ground. And power wire and power wire. Not speaker wire and power wire.
