I just ordered 2 12" SSA Dcon's and an audiopipe apsm 1300 amp

and i need to come up with a design for the box i will be building.

It is going into a 2005 saturn Ion. It cant be taller than 16" or wider than 33" and i have plenty of depth i just havent measured it out.

I was wondering If you guys had any suggestions/recommendations for a design.

So here is a suggestion, assumes your subs are DVC4 ohm to take advantage of the 1 ohm final load that your amp supports port/subs frontwards or backwards:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 32 Hz

Vb = 4.1 ft^3

External Height = 16 in

External Width = 33 in

External Depth = 22.5 in

Port Width = 3 3/4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2x Front = 14 5/8 x 14 1/2

Back = 33 x 14 1/2

Left & Right Sides: 21 x 14 1/2

Top & Bottom = 33 x 22 1/2

Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts:

2 x Front to Back = 19 1/8 x 14 1/2

2 x Extension = 3 1/16 x 14 1/2

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

Important notes:

- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.

- All trunk boxes built outside the car need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.

- The port needs 3 3/4" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp's subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.

So let me know if you want anything different.
