The newer Type R's are 1000 RMS, right?

the older alpine amplifiers like the m1000 are a little over rated..had the amp and we were testing it ...at 2 ohms at 13.8 the amp did poorly 700 and something watts...

so i guess other options would be more of a choice

what? I've had them on the amm-1 myself.

the 100M did 144 @ 4 ohm.

the M500 did 665 @ 2 ohm

I haven't tested a M1000, but I would be pretty sure it would do well over 1k.
