  1. WOW first week of August thats not bad at all. Im glad i ordered one, literally bought one as soon as you linked your site to the forum lol. I was watchin it like a hawk.
  2. Just paid for 1 DD-1, cant wait to get it in and get everything setup with it wonder how much of a difference ill notice. Im sure Ill notice a few things after i get my mids/highs setup and tuned thats for sure.
  3. still waiting on the web store to open up ordering... Hoping soon, my install will be most of the way completed around July 9th. Then i work on the mids/highs aspect of it all, and thats when im really gonna need to use this thing on the multiple mids/highs amps.
  4. Ive been in long enough to know when to talk. Im not a young buck. Any other cool stuff you can do with this device?
  5. That works for me. Sure ill see it later. I frequent the site, just don't post a whole lot.
  6. Ha. Army. Nothing wrong with that i have family that retired out of the Army. I just had to one up them. J/K. Well not everyone can be like us. Sorry. I dont know how the hell i missed the video that Steve put up that was over 10 minutes long. That helped me understand the setup process alot more. Im digging this alot more now that i know some more about it. Biggest thing i like about it is the fact that it can detect much more accurate than someone looking at a scope, your basically counting on that person at "Joe Blows car audio" to know how to use their scope properly and identify or your setup is still not quite setup right. Because i dont know how the hell to use an O Scope. Are you still taking pre-orders Ray? I saw Steve locked the thread up and said youd stop taking orders once you said no more. BTW, PULSE CAR AUDIO put up some good videos on YT on the DD-1 -Mike
  7. No harm no foul, I have a very good patience from dealing with fellow idiots in the Marine Corps and the BS that leadership always has us doing. 9 years of that will drive anyone crazy and test anyones patience. Still working on reading that 44 page thread on it. Hmmmmmm..
  8. I think the link that was just posted had better information in it than this thread has. I never bashed this and i dont understand how anyone can say i bashed this. IN FACT I said im sure its useful. I remember saying that twice, dont you see that? I was just asking a question which was not answered and if you cant put out a product without answering questions or making more information known about it then maybe you shouldn't be the one writing about it. Maybe you dont have patience for the common customer/consumer of this item. Im on here to read and to learn about electronics, audio equipment and other things. Im not on here to start a cyber war with other forum members. Its ahrd to distinguish fact from fiction over the internet so you certainly have to be skeptical of things when you first hear of them and of course research them to find out whats fact and whats opinion. I do like the idea of this tool, I could definitely see owning this over other more expensive equipment(scopes). I do see its purpose and its uses but as i asked earlier i had a few questions, i searched earlier and didnt find enough on it so i asked those questions here in this thread and i expected a more intellectual response from a few people than what was given. But with a little help(link) and a little more searching I found a few things and ive pieced enough together from what Tony was explaining in them that i can gather my answers from there. Thanks for the thread link. -Mike
  9. I wasnt thinking of testing into the sky of the frequency range just thinking that, maybe with these meters there was a way to test the range VS one specific frequency. Not a huge range obviously (LIKE I SAID REALISTIC RANGE)since most will use it for sub amp setups, more like a 30-50hz freq range or something similar. That was just an idea is all. Its VERY un-realistic to test anything above what you normally play. Thats just ridiculous for you to say that. And i wasnt implying that i said REALISTIC measurements. -Mike
  10. Wow, reading the thread was pretty worthless, nothing technical was explained at all. The videos were nice on how to use the device but again nothing technical. Im not knocking Tony, im not stating this isnt a useful tool. Im asking HOW ITS SO USEFUL. AND HOW IT APPLIES TO REAL WORLD CUSTOMERS. No one asked for his credentials, I know he was in on the T15k amps but that doesnt answer my questions still... Maybe if they posted the manual up then i can read some information about it and see what its all about. Then make an educated decision on whether to purchase one in the near future. I dont go off of it works because other people say it does. Im one of those people that say educate me and teach me some stuff. -Mike read the thread and google tony damore if you need his credentials.
  11. ok, hmm so its still possible with this that youd have musical distortion still? Im confused on how this will help you set your gains for real world applications? Such as music or even tones for those who have fart machines? Is there literature out there that would better explain what this is good for? Im not doubting that this is useful in some way or another, i just dont get how its useful in real world applications here. Someone show me some info...
  12. No ones posted this yet and maybe im missing something here but wouldnt playing a different test tone yield different results as far as distortion? Like what if my vehicle peaks at a higher frequency and thats what i typically meter at, then playing this 40hz test tone and getting no distortion is different than playing what i normally meter at of a say 46hz tone? I dont see this being realalistic with music either, wouldnt playing a different frequency change the amount of distortion from the amplifier. I may play 40 hz fine with gains set 3/4 but cant play 32 hz with gains at 1/2. Someone explain that to me, im lost as to how this is going to keep you from getting distortion at different freq's other than 40 hz if thats the only track you test at.
