Ok, so I'm a little dissapointed..

Recommended Posts

I'm running 400RMS 28.28v to my single 15" Fi SSD and I for some reason thought it'd be alot louder than this? It played 50hz tones like its nobodys buisiness, but when it comes to mainstream rap or anything -6dB it sounds like theres almost nothing in the back of my car.. So I want to port my trunk..

My rear panel between my 6x9's in my rear window is metal/wood so I don'tt hink I can cut into that, or can I? my seat doesnt fold down and I can't find any fold down seats for my car within a 200mile radius for a decent price....

Would taking my 6x9's out and putting them in boxes and using the 6x9 holes be a good idea? or can you masterminds help me think something up?

its a 97 Grand Prix SE

Nope, 3.5cu ft for single 15" @ 33-35hz which is to my subs specs, I admit the vent port could be longer in the box but its still bangs... and yeah I know its only 400w atts it stinks lol cause I cant turn my amp up more than half way without clipping issues :( ah shoot, what would you guys suggest? where could I make holes/place the sub that I'd get maxiumum output

are you sure the box is tuned that low??? sounds like it is an enclosure problem to me

2003 Ford F-150 Reg Cab layin body on 26's

2003 Tahoe 3/5 drop on 26's with a 408cid Supercharged engine.

2011 Camaro 2SS 2005 VW GTI Stage II ECU, CAI, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, lowered 2" on some plastidipped 18's

2003 Hayabusa lowered, stretched, cams, nitrous and custom paint

I'm pretty sure, almost exactly sure... I don't see how it could be an enclosure problem, the vent is letting out a lot of air and the sub has a lot of excursion? its probably just because the sub doesnt like my 400watts RMS.. I could see how loud the sub would be at twice the power...

when I go from a safe 28.28 on my amp to say 40.00 my sub gets loud as hell... like REALLY loud... so I figure if I run 800-1000RMS that would be the equivalent of around 47.9-50.00 right? so in theory my sub will hit twice as hard than with my current amp turned all the way up (which i know I shouldnt do)
