  4. I must say since I am offering services to anyone in the greater Tampa Bay Area that the install on my "Blue Thunder" S10 is from 1992. The pics of the mustang up top are 8 months old and the other car is from 6-7 years ago. The vehicle we are competing with current is the reigning Iasca iSQc world Champion and SBN champion for the top class. We have consistently been beating vehicles with unlimited resources like Gary Biggs. Our current goal is to build a 159.9 bassracer that can also win SQ in my 88Red S10 Blaza
  5. Look closely at the picture. You can see the magnet of a sub facing back through the hole of the sub that is missing. There were 12 10 facing each other in the true folded part of the horn but the remaining 22 10s were loaded on the flares of the horn. I think I have another pic that might help lemme look up the ole photobucker again!!! This panel w/ 6 10s is the rear of the fold and will be mounted in the next pic Above you can see the wheel wells coming through the enclosure and glassed.
  6. Loaded Horn

In search of a Alpine 7909. 7903, 7904, 3321 Thanks in advance Joe Rod next to my dual mag BTL pic of my 1st 3000 gonna stay w/ 1 for now I just built a box for 2 18" havocs just installed in buddys jeep- sound is awesome Pipos 16 12" Havocs a beautiful thing. Making me start to dislike the BTL cuz of the xtra un-needed bangy sound IMO
  12. They are Fi's flagship version. Ascendant are a Fi w all the options. In the case of the Chaos that one is a SSD with copper coil option.
  13. Thia is true and I can't count how many times his voltage was reading in the 10s all weekend!!!
  14. wow - nearly 24 hours less than 40 view and no replys. You guy must not like Fi/AA subs!? to bad your really missing on on the Ascendant line!!! Joe Rod
  15. Hey guys I am at the Daytona SBN right now. It is Saturday night. My head has been rocked today by lil jons 18 15" AA Chaos in a sealed clamshell with 2 partial dividers and 9 Clarion 1500 rms amps. lil jon said he's getting about 800rms per and his installer big mikey says each sub has 2.5 cubes. Chris a builder at Fi/AA explained to me that the AA lineup is thir retailer line (avail to dealers) and that each sub is exactly comparable to the Fi lineup. The Chaos that lil jon are running are in fact an SSD w/ the copper coil options. The rest of the lineup is in AA is the Fi equiivalent with all options. SO the Mayhem is a BTL fully loaded triple mag with daily option. If you want to order options specific woofers than you must order the Fi lineup. If you order an AA subwoofer (Havoc) you are getting a Fi Q w/ all the options. Pretty cool actually cuz now the AA is the flagship cadillac optioned Fi sub w/ all options. Again if you wanted to not have cooling on a sub than you would order a Fi version. Or if you just like the Fi logo better obviously get the Fi's The only big difference right now besides the logo is the newly introduced Havoc (Q loaded) has the appearance of a W7 "concaved with no outtie dust cover" and the Q still has the reg shaped cone and dust cover. Loading vids slowly I'll try to get them up later tonight. Must go have drink now--Peace BTW Sound is amazing. Plays all the notes,Let me say that again ALL THE NOTES and is the best thing I've personally witnessed in 14 years. Chaos I mean SSD,s I mean Chaos are the chit. I am truly impressed with the BTL as far as impressing people but I would think I would only suggest that to a customer who can only fit one sub or two subs and have the power to run them. The BTL certainly Bangs hard but the SSDs just sound way more natural and smoother. The BTL has way better SQ than it's comparable SPL type of competitors and doesn't have the aweful "motor" sound that so many SPL specific woofers have. But the SSD seems to be a much better sounding subs and if you need more than 4 will definately get the job done right and cost a lot less while doing it. I mean Chaos hehe. 16. A really good amp repair store! I've even offerd their warrant on my broken Orion 2250SX "Beastie" through Electronic auction BAY. Pretty Solid!!!
  17. I ended up with 11.5 CF after dispacement of woofers. Of course the port will take a lil more precious airspace away! but this is what I've fought for. Can anyone help me design 140 Sq inch port or tell me how to do it myself - tuning 37-40 hz for purely rock/metal Thanks in advance Ronrico
  18. Another one from The Duke
  19. Old on left new on right pics are from another forum I am on but I understand wanting to see "real" photos
  20. Figured out to now have 13CF internally after bracing and displacement. How do I figure PORT and I know I'll have to subtract that from rear chamber in this application. Thanks Ronrico
  21. Okay I may do aero ports to take up less space any ideas on port size anyone Now changed maximum internal D to 25"
  22. okay new rules I have these max internal dimensions to work with before speaker and bracing displacement 40.0" W 23" H 24" D Any ideas and can a slotted vented port work? Thanks Joe
  23. Hi guys first time posting on SMD's site but long time SM fan. My friend already ordered the subs and if I could change it I would have told him to get 15s. Vehicle is a Jeep Cherokee Subs D1 AA Havoc's Amp RF 40001 Maximum external dimensions. 41" W, 20" D, 24" H. My friend would still like to be able to see out of his back window. I was thinking subs up port back with port in center bottom. I told him to order the 18s thinking if Steve could WANG!!! 4 BTLs below the backseat in the Hoe that 2 Havocs shouldn't be a problem but I have been told different. So about time i'm coming to SMD to ask for any suggestions on what would be the best enclosure design. My friend mainly listens to metal, Judas Priest, Metallica, Staind etc., etc. Really wanted to do the ported like I said previous tuned to 35hz. Now considering sealed but would rather have something more "special" for my buddy Doug! Any help is greatly appreciated so Thanks in advance. Would like to start cuts in the AM and that comes early on the East coast hehe. Will probably go off of any responses from now till then. SOMEBODY SAVE ME ~~~~~ Just waitin for the good news(fingers crossed) Wouldn't you know it I had seen the awesome 33 page thread of Enclosure designs and when I went to that Friday I was like 12 minutes after final post of "closing site till caught up" and i didn't want to be "that guy" that still asked for the Guru's box design when he just said he was swamped. Dammit had the paypal donation ready to go too. Anyhow Peace WestCoast bro's and safe night to everyone. Joe Rod screen name ronrico
