  1. how many cubes are you at and what tuning freguency how loud is yours , what kinda car.
  2. Working with this is demensions of max width 38 and height 15 and depth 15 I am thinking of using it cause I have used it before I was thinking maybe 12 high and 20 deep by 38 wide that will be bout 4 cubes.
  3. Whats Up you think if I built something like that it would be ok like 3.5 cubes at 30 hertz, or you think ill need more space
  4. Well guys i kinda wanna face the sub and port to the rear so on same side of box. I took my spare tire out and I have room down there to where in the middle of a square box cut out the bottom in a 24 wide and a 10 to 12 deep piece out and make a box to fit there so that would give me enough space to mount the sub straight up and down with it facing to the back. Little Paint LOL
  5. Where yal box guys at I need suggestions please got a comp in bout a week.
  6. Come on guys no help I was thinking do you think I could build a regular ported box and just where the woofer is mounted kick it out and have a angle on it to mount the woofer guys I need some suggestions where yal at.
  7. As the guy below you said in my sig it will be a Power Acoustic OV1-2000D at 2 ohms. At one time I had a box a built bout 4 cubes ported with sub facing up at the trunk I had to slide the box into the trunk from inside the cab so I had to take the drivers seat out. It was a pain and it did fucking beat but I want something different like facing subwoofer to back of car also with port. Yeah man its a good sub I like it I just don't have the money for a real good 18 like dc or fi so I seen this and picked it up its my first 18. It does get down ive had people come out of wendy's when I was in the street and walk up asking me what the hell I had in my car cause it was shaking the tables where they was eatin. I need something mane I know you could help me out.
  8. Whats up guys I'm Zach I haven't been on in awhile or at least logged in I have been browsing though. I still got my 1987 Chevy Cavalier Z24 and I recently got a deal on a older Audiobahn 18 off a guy on craigslist for 100 bucks. I am gonna post a picture of the visual size of my trunk, and want to know what would be the best way to put the 18 in my trunk. I know the max I have height is like 15 and max 38 width, depth isnt a real problem as long as its not too deep to where I cant fit the box. I listen to rap and would like a cool looking box with like maybe 4 inch aero or something. I need this thing to pound like lows but still sound good all around. If I have to depending on if I like that box ill pay for a design. Trunk Size Dat 100 dollar craiglist Audiobahn 18 That isn't affecting the way it plays cause it works fine just looks bad
  9. I thought about it but I don't like glasspacks on 4 cylinders cause they do sound ricey forsure
  10. Yeah I have called about 8 shops that do exhaust work and 5 of them told me they wouldn't and three said they would. I know its against the law but to me the car is 25 years old so no emission. I just want 2.5 piping and a muffler.
  11. I was thinking of leaving the stock header and just do straight 2.5 back to the muffler no cat.
  12. I don't think a flowmaster period would sound good on a 4 banger thats just me. I been looking some and found them for 26 shipped just seeing if anyone knew anything cheaper or had one laying around they wanted to sale maybe. I'm looking at the 4 inch round mufflers with 4" tips on them.
  13. Whats up guys I just bought a 84 Prelude off of craigslist here in GA. I wanna make it more import than ricer if you feel me. I know ebay has some 4 and 4.5 inch mufflers, thats what I want but I could have sworn they have them for like 10 - to 20 shipped. I plan on lowering it and tinting the windows. As far as exhaust I'm going do straight pipe to the muffler I get. I need some help finding me a muffler in that range 25 and under if possible.
  14. Hey dude what kinda flip out screen is that? It looks to be a jensen/ by phase linear if so which model is it? Cause I have a UV8 model and with the bass from my two twelves it makes the screen freeze. But I was gonna go and buy I new one at Circiut City and then take the new one and install it and then take the one that I have that freezes and take it back and get my money back.
  15. Ill just be running a single one in the trunk of my Cavi but I want it to be low like a mofo and loud also but sound good. You got any vids of yours?
  16. Ill probably do sub up port back and see how it does and then if i Don't like it ill try it another way.
  17. Yeah I have the Power Acoustik OV1-2000d Monoblock 1 ohm stable amp. If I get one Mach Audio MJ-18M you think If I run it a 4 ohms it will get pushed nice. I want it to hit hard and low, harder than my two MA Audio 12's
  18. Cool bro is their anyone else that would like to chime in and tell me what they think or know. The only problem is it only comes in a single 4 ohm coil and I don't know if my amp will put out enough to push it a 4 I know it would at like 2 or 1 ohm but they don't make the subs like that unless I could speak with a mach 5 audio personel and see if they could make me one for extra in to a single 2 ohm or 1 ohm.
  19. Hey guys I really want to do a single 18 in my car but I want to do it in the trunk so I can only really fit one. I thought with the new MJ -18M there would be better/ lower impedances on the subs. It says on the site that it is a single 4 ohm voice coil and i don't know if that would be good enough for the amp I have I would like to run it atleast 2 ohms or 1 ohm cause I have a monoblock. Do you guys think the 18 would be louder than my two 12 inch ma xe in their 4.5 cubic foot box at 32 hertz or should i not go with that eighteen unless I can get a better impedance.
  20. that shit was funny I laughed pretty hard and his version of the song was pretty kick ass too. Also Carrie Underwood is hott I must say thats the only reason I know her song LOL
