  1. k good but would it work with my combo? if so which way that I stated above?
  2. what do you guys think of this amp for my combo? http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=18153 if I got this amp and ran it to my 5.25 polk speakers in the door and to the rear 5/7s in the rear, or should I run it to the 3.5s in the dash and the door speakers? or is their anyway I can run all my speakers and run it 2 speakers to each channel? also instead of running another wire to the rear of my car which is a major pain to keep it hidden and everything, can I run if off the same wire with a distrobution block? if not how could I do it without running another wire to the back of the car? if I have to, I think I'm going to rip all the wiring out of my car and run it under the car, which way would be best?
  3. o I just noticed that I put that I have pyle speakers. Their polk db series sorry for the mistake
  4. ya I dont know what set up I should go with, should I even amplify the tweeters, or the 3.5s? should i just keep the 3.5s and the tweeters off the head unit? then I would only have 4 speakers and could run a 2 channel amp with 2 speakers on each channel would that work?
  5. thanks for the offer accordman but I dont have the money yet, let me know if you sell it cuz I am interested. How would I hook up 8 speakers to a 2 channel amp? 4 to each channel? and would that even be possible or would I blow the amp? and why does the guy with only explode stuff sound way better louder and cleaner than me? is it because I'm sending my speakers a bad signal making them distort and sound $hitty
  6. it depends on what I need and what will work. I don't have much to work with now thats why I was looking into that autotek amp that was under $100 shipped. My highs and mids sound like $hit even compared to a friend with a big old rattling chevy truck with 2 6/9 explodes and 2 explode 6.5s and a 250 watt explode amp, Could the reason my speakers sound so bad is because they require more power than my H/U can provide and its sending it a clipped or dirty signal?
  7. come on guys I dont know anything about a/b class amps and dont have anywhere else to turn
  8. What amp would you recommend for my setup? and the autotek amp I was planning on getting was the ss series
  9. if their so good then why are they so cheep? and what do you mean by hatch?
  10. anyone? please I really don't know anything about amps for speakers
  11. something else is I hear of a lot of people on here running those emminence speakers off parts express, are these really that good? or are people just running these so they can run more speakers for cheeper?
  12. hey guys in my 89 mustang I have 2 kicker 3.5s in the dash, 2 pyle audio db series 5.25s in the doors, 2 pyle db series 5/7s in the back and kicker 2 tweeters in the a pillars with a pioneer deh 5900 h/u. I know that I need to run an amp to my speakers and that running them off the head unit like i am now is putting a lot of stress on the head unit right? I was thinking of running a autoteck ss100.4 amp to them and running them 2 speakers to each channel. would this work ok? also should I amplify the tweeters? I have never run an amp to speakers and don't know much about doing it any tips or advice? and is $80 plus shipping good for that autoteck amp or should I get a different amp, any recommendations? thanks for any input
  13. kinda afraid of getting a fried one, or not having a warranty.
  14. all right guys Ill try that and see how it goes thanks for all your help
  15. and something else, I've never been told this and haven't paid attention to most installs that I haven't done but I'm supposed to put my fuse as close to the battery in th front right? I know thats something I should really know but I have no one to reference from to learn. Thanks for all your help
  16. With running a second battery I should run the power wire to the rear like I already am and then run the ground to the frame right?
  17. O i know if I wanted to take out the back seats I could fit a huge box in there but I need the back seats in so I don't have that much room
  18. I have no Idea where to get a kicker amp for cheep, I cant find the kicker zx1000 for less than $500 unless thats a cheep price which I seriously doubt. Where can I find it for cheeper than that?
  19. any other input on whether I should choose an fi q or the *** trash and the set up I'm planning? anyone recommend an amp?
  20. all right sounds good, What would you reccomend for a battery? I know theres millions of choices but considering all I know of for car audio batteries are kinetic and powermaster but those are a little out of my price range so does it really matter what battery I go with? thanks for all your help I was really scared that my amp was gonna catch fire lol What I got that from is in a lot of peoples sigs it says- noobs plus car audio=voltage drops = fires I saw that and was just kinda like scared.
  21. I heard that If you run 2 batteries that it would kill your alternator, is this true? and I have 1 gauge would it be worth it to change to 0 gauge?
  22. hey guys I've got 2 old skool rockford fosgate 10s with a old 900 watt rms audiobahn amp and I'm getting voltage drops in my 89 mustang. I know the stock alternator is a 95 amp alternator but I don't know if the one I have is stock, I'm going to have it checked soon at autozone. Is there anything I can do to other than an alternator, battery and big 3, to stop the voltage drops? or are those the only options? I'm going to do the big 3 very soon and then I'm going to get a 130 amp alternator in a couple months. What else can I do? I'm scared of frying my amp. I don't know what my voltage is dropping to but I can see my voltage reading drop majorly and the headlights dimm a lot. the headlights dimm so bad that I cannot drive at night while having my stereo on other than having my high beams on but for some weird reason the amp is not getting hot at all even after an hour of strait running.
