  1. It worked fine the whole time I had my 3800+ installed... and the only thing that is happening is that my computer freezes after the screen saver is on for a long amount of time...
  2. Just cause the screen saver? Cause it has not froze since I shut the screen saver off..
  3. For some reason it wont let me install the program, can you get on aim and send me the .exe?
  4. no, but the processor that I had in here before was a 3800+ so it was still a dual core... ill run that test
  5. That is how it has been set from day one... I never put my computer in standby
  6. I tried that, and it is updated to the latest bios out. I checked the cpu support sheet on this mobo, and it has been supported since F3 and I have F8 version, so 5 updates ago it should have worked! I also reinstalled F8 once I noticed the problem and it didnt change anything, it still froze up when the saver was on. Now on the other hand, I just got home and I havent been at my computer for a few hours now, more then enough for it to have frozen when my SS was on and it wasnt frozen, I turned on my monitor and started working again...
  7. Did you make sure there wasnt any sort of filter on the page? click preferences next to the search bar, and check there I have firefox, and it works for me...
  8. It is just kind of weird that it does it right after I installed the new processor, also it seems to have only done it when the screen saver is on
  9. No I havent, but I am going to let it set a little bit without a saver at all so I can see if that is actually the problem. I will let you know what I find, since the savers with windows are all stored on the same part of the hdd none of them should work right (as in they should all freeze if that is the problem)?
  10. Well that is what I thought too, but when I checked the event viewer in Admin. Tools it doesnt say anything. How do I fix it?
  11. I just installed a new processor on my mobo, and I made sure that the processor worked with my mobo before I bought it and it is good and everything. It seems like everytime my screen saver is on for along time like 7 or 8 hours it freezes. Its just the XP logo on the screen saver that flashes around on the screen randomly so it is nothing big. It is the 4400+ Socket 939 on the processor that I just installed. I turned the screen saver off yesterday and it never froze, but I am wondering if I gave it enough time to try or not. I just know that the 2 days that I have woken up to get on my pc, it is froze. Anyone know what the deal is?
  12. Is there anywhere else that sells them? Also I already ran the wire and hid it and everything, so would I have to run a new wire or is it made the same. Would I just have to plug the knob in up front to the already ran wire...
  13. I do have another question though. I had the http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002CNQ70?smid=A...mp;linkCode=asn amp but it got stolen the night that I put it in, so I didnt have the bass knob ran or anything. It was just laying around my house and the new amp that he got http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/pr...S&p_status= did not come with a bass knob. So I thought that I would just put the one that I had laying around in his car but when it is plugged in there is little to no bass at all, then if I unplug the bass knob at the front of the car, and not the cord attached to the amp then all the bass comes back... Does that mean that I cant use that bass knob?
  14. Alright, first off I would like to thank ISO for his continual help! here is what happened. Since the amp is a mono block the speaker terminals are the same as if it was a 2 channel... thus it goes pos, neg, pos, neg. Turns out if you only have one sub you are supposed to hook it up to the extreme left pos terminal, and the extreme right neg terminal... I did that and that is what fixed it. ALSO thanks to pstone... Turns out while I thought the other person that was helping me with the box knew what he was doing I decided to let him finish putting the top of the box on. Turns out there were only 4 nails in the gun, and I put in one on each corner. I didn't know that the gun was out but I went to install the amp and everything while it was some what light out. He was out of nails and was basically putting little indentions in the box cause the hammer on the gun was hitting the box and he thought that the nails were going in... The sub basically blew the top of the box off so I took it today and re sealed then nailed it back on and carpeted the box for him. It looks really nice right now and sounds fairly loud. I didn't get a chance to set the gain with the DMM but for right now I set it by ear since the sub was hooked up right now. Thanks again for all the help, and the fast replys!
  15. http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/G/01...1704f2110.L.jpg That is the DMM that I was using. If you see in the picture it is set to ACV 750 but I had it a notch over on ACV 200 which is what I believe it is supposed to be set at cause the screen was at 00.0 and I was looking for 31.6... it didnt work though it went from 00.0 to 00.6 when it was all the way up and didnt really hit 00.1 till about 1/4 of the gain turned up. what is the problem?
  16. alright, I will check this tomorrow. does it matter how low the test tone would be?
  17. So I want the sub to see 500 wrms at 2 ohms. I typed that in and it says 31.6V. Also when I have the speaker wire unhooked from the amp, I just put the DMM pos on the pos terminal, and the dmm neg on the neg terminal of the same terminals I had the sub wire connected to? The once that is complete I just turn the gain till it reads 31.6?
  18. So I type in what the amp is supposed to do at 2 ohms from the Birth sheet? or what the RF website says?
  19. The amp itself didnt come with the remote, so I just used the knob on the amp. If I turn that down to half or all the way you think that will help, while having the SSF "ON"
