Sorry guys this wasnt meant for all of you, just the ones that was talking bull you know who you are. Migauil thanks for your help, when I bought the SS Trailblazer it came with the 200 amp alternator the owner before me had sounds in it but took the subs and amps out. Im going to have the alternator check out today to see why my volts jump that high after the Big3 upgrade.

what voltage meter do you have? it could be the meter. use a dmm to see what the alternator is charging at. 16v is not safe on batteries and your car

Whats up Miguels, im running a Stiner SVMR voltmeter. It and the alternator check out ok, I took it to Bills Alternators in Roseville MI it was a ground wire so now its running at 14.9-15v. They said if your battery is good it can run up to 15-15.5v and they have some guys that run the stock 105amp alternator on a 14 or 16v everyday at 16.5v with no problems!!!

theres no way that a stock alternator will charge 14 volt or 16 volt batteries daily.
